Overview
Rising majestically inside Arusha National Park, Mount Meru (4,562m / 14,968ft) is Africa's 5th highest peak. Trekkers are accompanied by an armed wildlife ranger through savanna where giraffes, warthogs, and cape buffalos graze. Meru is the perfect standalone mountain climb or the premier acclimatization climb prior to tackling Kilimanjaro.
Tour Schedule

Ascend through heather and giant groundsels to Saddle Hut. Take an afternoon acclimatization walk up Little Meru for breathtaking sunset views.

FAQ
Is Meru easier than Kilimanjaro?
Meru is shorter but steeper! The final crater rim scramble is physically challenging and provides excellent altitude preparation.
