Lemosho Route (7-8 Days)

Lemosho Route (7-8 Days)

Overview

The Lemosho Route is the premier trekking itinerary on Kilimanjaro. Ascending from the remote western flank near Londorossi Gate, it begins with tranquil rainforest walks where colobus monkeys and birdlife abound. Traversing the ancient caldera of the Shira Plateau before merging with the southern circuit, Lemosho provides gradual altitude gain over 7 or 8 days, delivering industry-leading summit success rates exceeding 95%.

FAQ

Is Lemosho harder than Machame?

Because Lemosho is longer, the daily trekking distances are actually more manageable and the elevation gain is gentler, making it easier on the body than shorter routes.
